Tire & Wheel Alignment | Gurley Leep Motorwerks

Tire & Wheel Alignment Services

Tire alignment, more commonly known as wheel alignment is not an adjustment to the tires or wheels themselves - it is an adjustment to the suspension of your vehicle to improve handling, steering vibration, life & performance of your tires. Adjusting the angles of your wheels and tires can affect how they make contact with the road. Improper alignment can create uneven and unnecessary wear on your tires that can create a need for replacement or safety risks for you and your family.

Depending on the make & model of your vehicle, front & rear end alignments may be available. While not all vehicles have adjustments for both - Our OEM Factory Trained Technicians recognize the needs of your vehicle. If you're unsure or just curious, ask one of our knowledgeable and friendly service advisors if your vehicle has front & rear alignment adjustments.

So how can you tell if your vehicle is in need of an alignment?

We recommend bringing your car to our Gurley Leep Motorwerks location, where one of our OEM certified factory technicians can assess if your vehicle is in need of alignment service. However, if you want to diagnose potential alignment needs before coming into the shop - Typical symptoms of a misaligned suspension consist of:

  • Vehicle Pulls Left / Right
  • Steering Wheel Vibration
  • Uneven Tire Tread Wear
  • Steering Wheel is "Off-Center" when Driving Straight
Using the best training and tools, should your vehicle be in need of an alignment service - Gurley Leep Motorwerks is here to get you back on the road quickly and confidently! While other service centers like Zolman, Belle Tire, Firestone & Jiffy Lube provide alignment service options, bring your vehicle to the company with more brands, more Factory Certified Technicians & more experience. Gurley Leep.

How Often Should I Align My Vehicle Suspension?

There are several factors that can impact how often your vehicle will need wheel or tire alignment services. Potholes, curbs & road conditions traditionally have the most impact on vehicle alignment. Under normal driving conditions, every 6 months (or twice a year) is the standard recommendation.

For those of us in the Mishawaka, South Bend, Elkhart & Niles (MI) area, weathered roads could cause more impact than in other areas. It is important to keep in mind - there is no guaranteed length of time that a vehicle will stay in alignment.
